Born and raised in Coffs Harbour, on the North coast of NSW, Nathan has worked at least 2 jobs for the past 7 years to enable him to have a crack at rallying. Currently Nathan is balancing Rallying with been a Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic, a Shift Manager for Domino's Pizza and studying for a Bachelor of Business with Southern Cross University.

Perhaps with one of the shortest rallying careers when compared to his Australian rivals, Nathan only started rallying mid August 2006 in an outdated Mazda RX2. The following 12 months entailed outstanding results as he learned his craft against superior 4WD turbo cars including some fastest stage times.

In July 2007 Nathan moved into the ex Chris Atkinson Mitsubishi Lancer Evo5 and an attempt at his first round of the Australian Rally Championship netted him =7th outright. In 2008 he only competed in two more rounds with the help of multi APRC codriver champ Ben Atkinson. They finished 5th and 2nd overall netting them 9th outright in the ARC for the season. Demonstrating raw talent and speed in the aged Evo 5, In Round 4 of the 2008 ARC, Coates Rally Queensland they managed a 2nd fastest outright stage time during the event. Furthermore Nathan reinforced his speed at Round 6 of the ARC finishing 2nd outright.

In total, Nathan will have attempted 22 events before the 2009 APRC Rally Queensland kicks off. In that time he has concentrated on his mental and physical fitness, as well as picking rallies that allowed an opportunity to learn different facets of the sport. Observers suggest that his greatest strengths besides his obvious talent are that he is mechanically sympathetic, goal driven, has an innate ability to think strategically, he remains focused, and has real maturity behind the wheel.

Awaiting the acquisition of a Mitsubishi Evolution 9 Lancer, Nathan is hoping to make a big mark on this years Pirelli Star program in Rally of Queensland and Repco Rally Australia. To aid this goal, he has also secured the help of Dave Green, former co driver for Michael Guest.
